Now in its seventh year, the London Design Medal has become one of British design’s most coveted accolades, awarded each year by the London Design Festival to an individual who has made an immense contribution to design and London.
This year the ceremony will happen in Lancaster House, a house full of history. Will be the perfect scenario to present the winners of this year.
To discuss the winners we have 15 judges this year include Alexander Payne (Head of Design, Phillips), Martin Roth (Director, V&A), Munira Mirza (Deputy Mayor for Education and Culture) and last year’s winners, Rosario Hurtado and Roberto Feo (El Ultimo Grito).
The main supporters are the luxury watch brand Panerai, Wallpaper and Dezeen as media pasteners. The event can count also with Coutts, Veuve Clicquot and Swarovski.
Wallpaper is the official medial partner for the London Design Medal 2013. As one of world’s most important design and style magazines it attracts a sophisticated global audience by constantly pushing into new creative territories and ensuring its coverage of everything from architecture to motoring, fashion to travel, and interiors to jewellery remains unrivaled.
