On the 4th and 5th of May if you go to Brockwell Park you can see the 6th celebration of Art Deco and the 20th century design. A range of vintage furniture, clothes and more are available including designs from Alvar Aalto, Charles & Ray Eames, Le Corbusier and more.
The event is called “The Modern Movement” and promisses to be a great event this year. The main organiser is Moses Otunla, owner of the vintage furniture showroom Bleu. Moses sources his stock from around the world including the works of Merrow Associates, Eero Saarinen, Alvar Aalto, Finn Juhl, Han Wegner, Charles & Ray Eames, Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier.
Brockwell Lido User Group is leading historical tours of the venue and swimming will also be available for limited numbers. The lido café provides BBQ and refreshments by the pool all day.
