Karim Rashid: “I see MyBrickell as a statement for more democratic buildings with accessible price points for the mass, and yet super designed, energetic, and very positive, that afford great elevated experiences for domestic life. Design is for everybody, not just the elite and in that respect I believe MyBrickell is a first in North America. My inspiration was also the sense of technorgnaic living, where our digital age is expressed through new form and color and lifestyle. Also the light and certain brightness of Miami inspired the feeling, the flow, the materials, the patterns, the textures. The city has such a beautiful color palate full of lightness. The light is so sensual, so romantic, and so beautiful. I love color – and colored glass of diverse colors is used throughout the condo to give diverse illusory effects and change all day from the light.”
